Q: How do
I get my own TV show or start in the
outdoor industry?
A:
That's a tough question to
answer, being in the right place
at the right time helps a lot,
but the best answer is to make
as many contacts in the industry
as you can. Video as much
as possible, learn how to film
and edit video on a professional
level, write outdoor articles,
work with companies to be on the
"staff" and be ready to dedicate
a ton of time and in many cases
money to have a chance.
It's a tough ride to get a grip
in the industry, you have to be
entertaining, unique, and work
well with the companies that
help you do what you do.
Remember the saying, "If it were
easy, everyone would do it."
Those words really ring true.
We are blessed to be where we
are and we have busted our tails
to get here.
Q: How
do I become a part of the Backwoods
Life staff or work with the crew?
A:
Our staff members are basically
hand selected over time.
Many of them are people we have
known for years, or have built
relationships with while filming
for the show. Feel free to
drop us a line on the
Contact
Us page if you are an
aspiring cameraman or woman, we
are always looking for good
freelance filmologists (as we
call them).
Q: Can
I go on a hunt with the Backwoods
Life guys?
A:
We wish we could hunt with
everyone that wants to go with
us, but we pretty much are doing
good to keep up with our
schedule for just us and the
crew. We do have a limited
amount of hunts available on our
private Backwoods Life
Plantation here in south Georgia
each year. If you are
interested in one of these hunts
use the
Contact Us page and drop us
a line.
Q: How
do I get a product to the guys or
possibly become a partner of the
Backwoods Life TV show or radio
show?
A:
Please send all correspondences
to our Marketing & Advertising
Director, Steve Nichols, at PO
Box 351 Hahira, GA 31632
or email Steve at
steve@backwoodslife.com and
he'll be glad to contact you.
